A director and one of the founders of Rufy's Films, a company for film production in Alexandria. He studied filmmaking at the Jesuit Cultural Center workshop in Alexandria. He worked as an assistant cameraman in Ahmed Abdullah's film Microphone, and he was part of Ibrahim El Batout's film crew in Hawi. He worked as an assistant director in several short and feature films. He co-directed his first film, The Mice Room, with six other directors, and it was screened in the official competition at the Dubai Film Festival and the Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil in 2014 as well as other festivals around the world. He directed the documentary I Have a Picture, which premiered at the El Gouna Film Festival and won the Best Arab Documentary Film Award in 2017.
