An Iraqi actor, who worked in cinema, theater and on television. He was born in 1930. He joined the National Acting Troupe in the mid-sixties and acted in many plays, such as Al-Mutanabbi. He worked with most theater directors and was spontaneously wonderful in performing his roles. He made his film debut in the 1955 movie Fotna and Hassan. His other notable movies include The Thirsty (1972) and The Walls (1979). On television, he played several roles in television series and specials, the most famous of which is Memory Stations. His last television work was Tale of the Three Cities. In 1996, he retired and lived alone, especially after losing his eldest son. In 1997, he died leaving behind a great legacy.
