A Lebanese singer and actress, born in Tannourine, Lebanon, to a family with 12 other children. When she was five years old, she appeared in the Egyptian film My Poor Son when director Henry Barakat discovered her. She also appeared in the Lebanese film Where To? in 1957, which was screened in the same year at the Cannes Film Festival. Then she moved away from cinema and focused on singing. |
