He obtained his university degree in television directing from the USA. He was able to occupy a prominent position on the map of Kuwaiti and Gulf songs at an early stage in the 1980s, and his poems were associated with a number of distinguished Kuwaiti and Gulf artists, including Abdulkarim Abdulqader, Gharid Al Shati, and Nawal. His credits include Ruqia & Sabika, Uncovered, and Bou Marzouk.
