Hussein Gomaa was an Egyptian director born in 1925. He is considered one of the pioneers of theater directing in Egypt and the Arab world. He held several important positions in The Ministry of Culture and the Artistic House of Theatre. His directorial works include a variety of important stage productions such as Scheherazade, and Life Is a Comic Novel. He received many awards and honors in recognition of his illustrious career. He passed away on March 5, 2014 at the age of 89. |
