Arnold Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, professional bodybuilder, businessman and bona fide Hollywood icon turned politician in his mid fifties. He was born in a small isolated Austrian village in 1947 and began bodybuilding as a teen, which earned him fame and recognition worldwide: he won Mr. Universal at age 20 and then won the Mr. Olympia contest seven times. He had his breakout role playing Conan in "Conan the Barbarian" (1982), which was picked up for several sequels. He then played the eponymous villain in James Cameron's "The Terminator" (1984), which skyrocketed his fame to a new level and made the phrase "I'll be back" iconic. Arnold established himself as a blockbuster action hero with films like "Predator" (1987), "Total Recall" (1990), "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1992) and "True Lies" (1994). In 1986, Arnold married a Kennedy, Maria Shriver, with whom he has four children. His films in the late 1990s were less successful than his earlier blockbusters. In 2003, he was elected governor and was soon dubbed the "Governator." He remained governor until 2011, after which point it was revealed that he had fathered a child with the family's live-in maid. He and Shriver are now divorced. The modern Western "The Last Stand" (2012) is Arnold's first leading role since "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" in 2003.
