Aaron Sorkin is an American screenwriter, playwright and producer who was born in Manhattan on the 9th of June, 1961. Sorkin then developed a talent at writing plays and his stageplay “A Few Good Men” caught the attention of Hollywood producer David Brown who purchased the film rights for the play. The play was adapted into a film directed by Rob Reiner and the film was a commercial success. Thereafter Sorkin quickly rose as one of America’s best screenwriters. Among the best known of his works is the NBC political drama “The West Wing” which won multiple Emmy awards. Sorkin also wrote “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” for NBC but the show was not renewed after its first season. Aaron Sorkin’s latest project is “The Social Network” a comedy-drama about the founding of Facebook.
