Kurt Russell is an American television and film actor and longtime partner of actress Goldie Hawn. After landing a small part in an Elvis Presley movie at age 10, Russell signed a 10-year contract with Walt Disney to be the "studio's top star of the '70s." Later on, he played Elvis Presley in John Carpenter's ABC TV movie. He followed this with a string of successful films, including "Escape from New York" (1981), "The Thing" (1982) and "Silkwood" (1983) opposite Meryl Streep and Cher. He was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in "Silkwood." He first met Goldie Hawn when they worked on "The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band" in 1968, then later worked with her on "Swing Shift" (1984), which is when their romance sparked. The two have lived together ever since. Russell starred in a string of flops throughout the 1980s, but made a comeback with "Tango & Cash" (1989) and "Backdraft" (1991). Russell is also known for playing in "Stargate" (1994) and the critically acclaimed "Miracle" (2004). He started working with Quentin Tarantino on "Grindhouse" in 2007, then reunited with the infamous director for "Django Unchained" in 2012.
