American comedian born in Newton, Massachusetts, USA on May 18, 1931. He was married to actress Carole D'Andrea for twenty years, with whom he has three children. Then he got married again to Elizabeth Roberts, with whom he has two children. He had the strength, energy and determination that qualified him to become a star in a short time. He made his debut with music and singing in the movie On the Town (1949). He also trained in singing and music with Lee Strasberg and presented the movie The Proud and Profane (1956), and the play The matchmaker before turning it into a cinematic movie. Among his most known works are: How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1961), The Loved One (1965), and A Guide for the Married Man (1967).
