A Saudi writer and director, who obtained an MA in translation from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland in 1996. Her first documentary film, Away from Speech, participated in several festivals, including the Gulf Festival 2009. Her first movie was Complaint, which she wrote and directed with limited resources, but it achieved great success and won the Golden Palm Tree Award at the Saudi Film Festival. She has headed many writing workshops, and participated as a jury member in a number of festivals and art competitions, including the Saudi Film Festival. Her work includes the series No Filter, and Curfew. |
