An Italian internationally famous actor and director, born on May 19, 1946, in Ascoli Satriano, Puglia, Italy. He studied acting at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. His debut was in the play Midsummer Night's Dream in 1969. Two years later, he started working in films with great directors. He is known for La piovra (1984-2001), Big Business (1988), and Romanzo Criminale (2005). He was nominated for and won several awards, such as the Silver Berlin Bear for Best Actor for Ernesto (1979). |
