An Indian actor and singer, born on February 25, 1948 in Sikkim. He started his career with singing and acting in Hindi and Nepali films. He is married to Gawa Denzongpa, a Sikkimese princess and they have two children. He has appeared in over 200 films throughout his career that began in the early 70s. He won Filmfare Award twice for Best Supporting Actor for Khuda Gawah (1992), and Sanam Bewafa (1991). Among his works: Ashoka the Great (2001), Baby (2015), and Enthiran (2010). |
