American writer and producer born in 1974 in Kearney, Nebraska, US. He attended Kearney High School where he was involved in music and theater. He went to University of Nebraska at Kearney and then attended the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. He was also given an Honorary Doctorate in Musical Arts from University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2019. His most notable works include The Blacklist (2013-2021), Taking Lives (2004), and Perfect Strangers (2007).
