A Spanish writer, director, cinematographer, and actor, born on May 12, 1930. Franco has occasionally worked under various pseudonyms. Franco directed more than 200 films. He also served as a producer on many films., the first of which was a comedy film dating back to 1959 entitled We Are Eighteen. Franco collaborated with prominent actors and directors, such as Juan Antonio Bardem and Orson Welles. He died in Malaga on April 2, 2013, at the age of 82.
