An American actress, born in Hartford, Connecticut, on March 10, 1945, as Katharine Houghton Grant. She received the 1968 Golden Laurel Award. She married actor Ken Jenkins in 1970, with whom she had three children. Among her most important works are Guess Who's Coming to Dinner...Read more (1967), Garden of Death (1974), Kinsey (2004), and The Last Airbender (2010). Before working in art, Katharine studied philosophy at Sarah Lawrence College. Her film debut was Guess Who's Coming to Dinner was (1967) with her aunt Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy, and Sidney Poitier, which helped her work in films and on Broadway. She also has been a playwright, translated many plays, and gave many lectures.
