He was a professor of acting and directing at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Cairo. He also held several positions in the theater sector and established children's theater, youth theater and touring theater. He was honored on the Egyptian Theater Day in 1985, the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater in 1992, the Iraqi Theater Shield in 1997, and the Jordanian Theater Shield in 1998. His last honoring was in the first session of the Arab Theater Festival in Cairo 2009.
