An Egyptian theater director, who began his directing work since the early sixties. He directed about 50 plays, including: "The Confused Sultan" and "The Planners". He also presented performances from the world stage, including "Al Ghoul" and "Mara Sad" by German Peter Weiss, and from the French theater he directed "Noble Uncle" by Molière and "Joan of Arc" by Jean Annoy. He was a professor of acting and directing at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Cairo. He also held several positions in the theater sector and established children's theater, youth theater and touring theater. He was honored on the Egyptian Theater Day in 1985, the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater in 1992, the Iraqi Theater Shield in 1997, and the Jordanian Theater Shield in 1998. His last honoring was in the first session of the Arab Theater Festival in Cairo 2009.
