She was born in Canada, began practicing gymnastics at a very young age, and when she was seven years old, her father decided to move the family to Leeds in England to get a doctorate. When she reached the age of 9, she began entering international competitions for the British gymnastics team, winning in 1996 and becoming the British champion and retaining the title for 3 consecutive years. In 2006, she received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Northern British Columbia and worked in that field for two years. After that, she decided to return to playing sports, training and competing in the sport of jiu-jitsu, and after 6 months she decided to use all her skills, talents and physical fitness to enter the world of cinema.
