After training at the Bristol Old Vic Theater School in 1939, he was exempted from war service. He toured with the Old Vic during the war. The Old Vic Theater appeared in 1939, and he remained in the company for several years. He participated in various film works and died on February 23, 2009 in London, England, UK.
