A Chinese actor born in Dandong, Liaoning, China on November 12, 1918. He received the Golden Horse Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1981. He has appeared in several Italian films, and has been based in Taiwan since 2009. He joined the Shanghai School of Drama in 1938, and moved in 1949 to Taiwan, and became one of the most important stars in the early years of Taiwanese cinema. Among his most important works are: Super Fly T.N.T. (1973), Along Comes the Tiger (1977), and The 10th Victim (1965). He died in Taipei, Taiwan on March 27, 2015 of heart failure.
