May was married to Maurice Leary (1929-1973) and they had a child, and she remained with him until his death. She began as an extra...Read more in films since 1917, after which she appeared in a number of films, mostly in the silent-film era, including Everything for Sale (1921), Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ ( 1925) and The Jazz Singer (1927). May died of a heart attack in 1984, at age 84.
