A Venezuelan-American television director, producer, and screenwriter, born on April 23, 1962 in Venezuela to Italian actress Gioia Lombardini and Cuban director Daniel Farías. At the age of 14, she attended an international high school in Switzerland. She studied Social Communication at Northwestern University and was previously a telenovela actress in Venezuela. She began writing with her cousin José Ignacio Cabrujas, who encouraged her to pursue writing and not acting. Some of her works include Jane the Virgin, La ley del silencio, and Marido En Alquiler.
