An American film and television actress and model, born on September 14, 1959 in New Jersey, USA. Her father worked in the electronics industry, and she spent most of her childhood in Hong Kong. She originally attended Northwestern University's Theater Arts program, then transferred to the State University of New York, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Acting in 1982. She is known for Sixteen Candles (1984), Home Alone 3 (1997) and Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990).
