Following his training at the Texas Wrestling Academy, Paul started competing for Ring of Honor, where his high-risk, aggressive moves led him to be a fan favorite. Later on, he competed for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Zero-One, and several independent promotions. He won many championships. In 2003, London won the ECWA Super 8 Tournament. His notable works include ROH: All Star Extravaganza (2002), WWE Velocity (2002-2006), and WWE Raw (2004-2008).
