An actor from Estonia who was born in Tallinn, Estonia on July 13, 1898 as Johann Constantin Treisalt and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on January 3, 1980 of heart failure. His most important works are Notorious (1946), The Amazing Transparent Man (1960), and The Bad and the Beautiful (1952). He began appearing on stage at the age of 14 in Estonia, and when he was 18, he immigrated to the United States of America and began training in acting and dancing. He appeared as a dancer and pantomime actor in New York City and worked for a short period in Broadway theaters, before entering the world of cinema. He is known for playing the roles of foreign officials and villains. He died in 1980 at the age of 81.
