• A British actor born in Cleveland, Scotland, on December 19, 1915. He was born the youngest and only son of 5 daughters. They all lived in one room. Simon began working in the...Read more local theater, and from there to the London theater, but his career stopped during the Second World War. Where he served on the European front, and after the war he returned to acting in the theater. Simon worked on radio in the late fifties and early sixties, and during the sixties he had a major role in television series. Simon began working in cinema at the end of the 1930s. His most important works include: Enemy at the Door (1978-1980), Just William (1940), The Proud Valley (1940), and Doctor Who (1971-1978). He died in 1980 at the age of 64.
