An American actress, born as Mary Edith Willard Small in Pasadena, California, USA on March 20, 1942. She was nominated for Best Comedy Actress at the New Jersey Film Festival. Her most important works are Sleeper (1973), Man on the Moon (1999), American Playhouse (1987), and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975). She became known professionally as Maria Small during the 1970s, and she stood on Broadway and sang in America and Canada. Her father was a doctor, and her mother was an artist. She started acting in theater productions in Vermont and from there to Broadway, where she performed in musicals and recorded albums. She was a peace activist who spent 25 years participating in international peace associations. Her first cinematic participation was in The Trouble with Angels (1966), and her last work in the TV series Mom & Me (2015), where she presented 12 episodes.
