An American actor, born in Jackson, Mississippi, on September 24, 1928. He got married to the dancer Isabel Murrow Brown, they had four children, and she remained with him until his death. He is an American ballet actor and dancer, who performed his solo dances at the American Ballet Theatre. He studied ballet at Stone Camrin School in Chicago, worked in the Chicago Civic Opera Ballet, then joined the Ballet Theater in 1949. He participated in Broadway musicals, and later appeared on television and movies. His first appearance was in the series Omnibus (1952) and his last appearance Play of the Week (1960), then left the screen and devoted himself to ballet with his wife at the Ballet Theatre. In the late 1960s, he and his wife owned and operated a ballet studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Among his most important works are: The Girl Most Likely (1957), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954), Oklahoma! (1955) and Daddy Long Legs (1955). He died in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 13, 1981 of a heart attack.
