He appeared in the theater with his father, actor Franklin Dyall, in Shakespeare's plays, and he also appeared with him in the movie Yellow Canary (1943). Among his important works are: The Haunting (1963), The City of the Dead (1960), Treasure Island (1957) and Bizarre (1970). He died in England, on June 24, 1985.
