Angela Scoular attended St George's School, Harpenden, and Queen's College, Harley Street. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She participated in two James Bond films and performed Shakespearean roles on stage such as Juliet and Ophelia. She suffered from depression, anorexia nervosa, alcoholism, bowel cancer, and bipolar disorder, and attempted suicide in 1992. Angela Scoular died in Maida Vale, London, England, United Kingdom on April 11, 2011, from ingestion of acid drain cleaner at the age of 65.
