Local singer Saad El Sageer stated that he didn’t expect his new movie “Al Haram Street” to make more than 10 million Egyptian pounds revenues. He added that he was surprised when his movie made more revenues than that of Mohamed Saad’s “Tek tek Boom” El Sageer’s only explanation to that (according to him) was that, what happened was heavenly love.According to his interview with “Al Masry Al Yoom” newspaper, he expected critics to criticize his movie, that’s their job he added and it doesn’t bother him. All he wanted to do was offer the audience a pleasant and cheerful movie and he feels he’s done that to a certain extent away from vulgarity. El Sageer explained that the movie has a lot of details that he actually went through during his career. Saad elaborated to writer Sayed El Sobky all the difficulties and challenges he had to surpass to move from a drummer to a singer. El Sobky included those details in his script, but even then the movie could not be considered his biography. As for his wage for the movie, rumors said he received one million Egyptian pounds, but Saad denied that and said that he only received 300,000 Egyptian pounds, and that he is happy and satisfied with that. The singer considers it pay back to Sayed El Sobky who introduced Saad for the first time to the cinema.
