Producer Ahmed El Gabry who is preparing for his series “Abdel Kader the Foreigner” along with actor Yehia El Fakharani denied rumors that said that El Fakharani made leeway for his son to become director of the series, saying that the decision to make Shady Yehia El Fakharani director of the series was a unanimous one between himself and staring actor Yehia El Fakharani and script writer Abdel Rehim Kamal.Gabry added in a statement to “Al Masry Al Yoom” that he was looking forward to working with Shady and he would never assign a project with such magnitude and massive expenses to a director who doesn’t know what he’s doing. Gabry refused to give details about the content of the series denying all rumors that said that the series was related to the revolution. Gabry declared that the series is not remotely related to the revolution, as he has no idea where the revolution is going and will not risk presenting something about a historical event with such enormity before fully understanding its outcomes and results.Script writer Abdel Rehim Kamal has completed 19 episodes already and is preparing workshops with both El Fakharanis the son and dad to start choosing the remaining cast, and finalize the small details. The series will be filmed not only in Cairo but other cities inside Egypt, and other European cities.
