The story of a boy and his mother as they move to California for the mother's new job. As the boy starts dating a rich girl, it earns him the bullying of a group of karate kids, and the only one who can help him is Miyagi, their landlord, by teaching him karate so that he would defend himself.
Mr. Miyagi takes Danny on a trip to his home village to see his dying father, but the trip has unforeseen consequences as Miyagi reckons with his past in the form of a former sweetheart and an old rival intent on reigniting their feud, as Danny falls in love and makes an enemy of his own.
After being defeated by Daniel and Miyagi, the evil John Kreese joins forces with the ruthless businessman Terry Silver to reestablish Cobra Kai and exact his revenge on them.

While in Boston for a military reunion, Karate Master Mr. Miyagi crosses paths with Louisa and her granddaughter, Julie, whose parents were killed in a tragic accident, prompting her to pick up karate to cope up with her angst and loss, with help from Mr. Miyagi.
A mother is forced to move with her son, from the United States to live in China. He's embraced by a Kung Fu master who teaches him all the secrets of the game and changes his life, and the life of his mother for the better.
