After his brother is killed under suspicious circumstances, Hoppy is determined to bring the murderer to justice and expose him, even going so far as to put his name on the wanted list so that the true murderer may be found.
Hoppy clears Lucky of bank robbery accusations and stops a dishonest lawyer's scheme to steal a herd of purebred cattle and seize control of the valley.
Hoppy and his group come upon a strange professor while out on a cattle drive. While he claims to be looking for the missing piece in evolution, the professor is actually a cattle rustler who scatters the cattle with his explosives so he may catch some of them.
